This is as far back as it goes! In 1984 Dave Bergthold started toying with the idea of starting a skateboard company. With no industry connections (and almost no industry to speak of), Dave bought a few blanks through the local Sacramento Go Skate shop. After designing a shape and then cutting it out with a jig-saw, this was his first experiment with graphic design and screen printing on a skateboard. It was the beginnings of both the Blockhead logo and one of the first 3 Blockhead boards released in 1985, the “Chaos”. Both would be changed and refined before production began. So what we have here is a limited replica of one of the first couple experimental Blockhead boards. It will be stained yellow with a black screen print just like the original. The shape features a fish shape and a unique “tail tap” notch on the tail. The board is packaged with a limited tee shirt that is only available with the deck and also a super limited edition sticker. Oh, Dave says he’s taking it back to the garage days and going to pull the squeegee on all these decks! So this is a one-time run of 60 decks that will be hand screen printed, signed and numbered by Dave as well as laser engraved with the 30 year logo. The only (broken) one is on Dave’s wall, now a limited number of collectors can have one too!
