Gerade als Mike McGill im Sommer 1984 im schwedischen Sommercamp den 540 McTwist perfektionierte, arbeitete VCJ an einer neuen Deckgrafik für ihn. Da sich das Thema „Skull & Bones“ als beliebt erwies, war dies die Richtung, die für McGills neues Deck gewählt wurde. Mikes Input bestand darin, die Schlange und die Blitze hinzuzufügen, da es in seinem Heimatstaat Florida eine Fülle von beidem gibt. McGill's Skull & Snake ist wirklich eine klassische Skateboard-Ikone.
